U-Render是一款最新的C4D实时物理PBR渲染引擎，这款插件的渲染效果真的很棒，它非常适合在设计、动画和可视化领域使用。U-Render支持基于物理的灯光和材质，并且由于Bloom和色差等众多后期处理效果，可为合成和后期制作节省很多时间。 我们知道环境光遮蔽（Ambient Occlusion；AO）和全局照明通常是互补效果，它们的任务是创造近似于光线多次反射和着色的真实光能传递效果。GI 模拟光线如何从表面反射至另一个表面，而环境光遮蔽近似于 GI 的阴影效果，AO是作用于全局背景或对象间接着色的渲染方法。这种方法可以为渲染添加更多的真实感，因为它能够创建柔和的全局阴影，从而有助于对象的视觉分离。 在游戏引擎这类实时渲染工具中，AO更是营造真实体积感最重要的技术手段，通常和IBL（基于图像的照明）与PBR（基于物理法则的渲染）是密不可分的好基友，U-Render作为实时渲染器也不例外。 AO（这里特指游戏引擎中）通常使用非常快速的SSAO（基于屏幕空间的），你可以理解为“假的”AO效果，是用于实时近似环境光遮蔽效果的要求最低的计算机图形技术。但根据开发者实现的效果实际质量可能因游戏而异。 SSAO有很多衍生的计算方式，主要包括NVIDIA的HBAO、HBAO+，AMD的HDAO，VXAO，Unity的TSSAO、SSAO Pro、SESSAO、Cinematic Image Effect AO、Amplify Occlusion，等等，各种SSAO算法都存在精度和速度的矛盾，其中相对最优秀的是Ground Truth Ambient Occlusion（GTAO），其质量和精度更接近传统的光线追踪。 U-Render的这次升级在其原有的Hemisphere AO（半球体映射）基础上加入了Ground-Truth AO，极大地提高了实时渲染的真实度，这里来看一些我做的测试吧。
